About

Hi, my name is Andy Green, I have lived in Manchester since 2002 after I had graduated with a degree in Media Studies.. I will say no more. I have met lots of creative people covering all the spectrum of the arts and made some great friends. I have been fascinated by film since I was a child. I remember buying my first video camera, it taking ages and no budget the make a one hour film called The Walk and collecting my first hundred films on video. I have always been intrigued about how films come together, how they are seen and also how they are made available. I have dabbled in being part of making videos, being in video and helping others learn how to make them. In 2015 I was proud to be part of Queer ChesterFilms NW, we put on a variety of film nights across greater Manchester and ran three 24hr film making weekends. An inspiration for FVp.

Film Vault presents is a monthly film night in Manchester UK, screening, supporting and championing films of all genre and duration from local and international talent.

Planning started in May of 2016, with the first film night in July at Gullivers in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, in the heart of the culture hub of the city.

The film nights are free and have so far screened loads in independent British films including The Truth About Love and In A Year, with many more on the way!

The night is slowly growing in interest with both local film makers and lovers, people who may be fancy something different from the main stream cinema and also love to see screening of locally made shorts and features.

I will update this when I can and if you any any comments on what to cover, please, let me know. Andy

“Unlike all the other art forms, film is able to seize and render the passage of time, to stop it, almost to possess it in infinity. I’d say that film is the sculpting of time.”

– Andrei Tarkovsky
